Cinematic Storytelling

After nearly a decade of working as a video journalist for television news stations across America, I’ve developed a mastery of all aspects of visual storytelling—from the technical skills to the creative application of them. My experience working in news has prepared me to handle the stress and deliver exceptional results under any circumstances.

I­n my career as a journalist, I’ve won three Emmy awards, and pointed a camera at three sitting presidents.

I specialize in working as director and cinematographer, creating an environment where my subjects feel comfortable in front of the camera. This allows me to work efficiently and effectively with a clear and direct vision.

One of my greatest pleasures in my news career was profiling many amazing artists of varying disciplines. I’ve continued this passion project on my own time to shine a spotlight on artists in my community.

These stories made for broadcast news range from a few minutes long to a 30-minute TV special. They were all produced under harsh filming conditions and relentless deadlines.

Typewriter for joy in the process, pencil for clarity of thought. Pens are nice, useful—but there’s something meditative about putting graphite to paper. It’s not aggressive and self-assured like ink. It’s gentle, thoughtful, open to venturing out in new directions.
